A small unit still needs a complete setup
VOLTRA’s 5.8 kg battery-powered unit is appealing beside a rack you already use. Its 2.6 m cable can serve different positions, but each position needs a suitable mounting arrangement. Put the mount and handles in the initial order. One unit provides one resistance point; two independently placed cables require two units.
A buyer starting with an empty room has less equipment to reuse. Gym Monster 3 includes the two-cable platform and 23.8-inch screen, making it the more direct purchase for that brief. Core has no bench. Studio is the relevant package step if an incline bench is needed.
One cable’s maximum is different from a system total
VOLTRA’s stated 200 lb, approximately 90 kg, belongs to one unit. Gym Monster 3’s 100 kg is the total across the system. The 120 kg Speediance headline refers to GM3S. These numbers should stay attached to their respective models and cable arrangements when deciding whether the equipment covers a heavy row or a two-handle movement.
The purchase to make in each room
In an established rack gym, start with one VOLTRA if that solves the missing exercise. Core operation needs neither an app nor a subscription, and Beyond Power’s manufacturer listing provides the buying route. Adding a second unit later should follow a real need for a second cable.
For the Speediance room, use the open dimensions: 69 cm wide by 122 cm deep, before space for the bench and your movements. Speediance Australia lists Core, Studio and Station on the same product page. Buy Core when your existing bench is suitable; paying for another bench makes sense only when you need the package’s replacement.
